Job Description
Field Applications Scientist supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific customers with qPCR technologies. Delivering demonstrations, training, troubleshooting, and technical consultation across Barcelona.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical and scientific support to customers
- Deliver product demonstrations and hands-on customer training
- Provide technical consultation and troubleshooting assistance
- Support customers with qPCR technologies and applications
- Assist customers with data analysis, experimental design, and method development
- Adapt technical support and communication to different customer profiles and requirements
- Collaborate closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners to support customers and business objectives
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships
- Travel regularly to support customers, with willingness to travel 50% or more
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience
- Hands-on experience with qPCR technologies and applications
- Experience with data analysis, experimental design, and method development
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant scientific software
- Clear scientific and technical communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to different customer profiles and needs
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams
- Good commercial insight and attitude
- Effective organization, prioritization, and time management skills
- Adaptability and willingness to learn
- Fluent French and professional proficiency in written and spoken English
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel 50%–75% or more
- Experience with dPCR technologies and applications is a plus
- Experience in technical training, customer support, or troubleshooting is a plus
- Additional relevant certifications are a plus
