Job Description

Senior Accountant delivering government-contract accounting for Urrly’s advisory clients. Managing closes, reconciliations, job costing, and compliance reporting remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver month-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and close packages
  • Handle payroll, labor distribution, AP/AR, project setup, and day-to-day accounting
  • Prepare job-cost and management reports; explain results and answer clients’ technical questions
  • Apply GAAP and government-contract accounting requirements
  • Support audit workpapers and special projects
  • Manage deadlines across engagements and help improve how the work gets done
  • Work across client engagements alongside an Accounting Manager or Controller
  • Own technical delivery for accurate books, dependable closes, and clear project reporting

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with government-contract exposure
  • Hands-on knowledge of GAAP, FAR, DCAA, and CAS, including cost allowability and indirect cost allocation
  • Experience with Unanet, QuickBooks, Deltek Costpoint, or a comparable accounting system
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent related experience
  • U.S. citizenship, as required by client contracts
  • Prior success delivering accounting services in a consulting environment is strongly preferred
  • Unanet plus QuickBooks is especially valuable
  • CPA preferred, not required
