Job Description
Senior Accountant delivering government-contract accounting for Urrly’s advisory clients. Managing closes, reconciliations, job costing, and compliance reporting remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver month-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and close packages
- Handle payroll, labor distribution, AP/AR, project setup, and day-to-day accounting
- Prepare job-cost and management reports; explain results and answer clients’ technical questions
- Apply GAAP and government-contract accounting requirements
- Support audit workpapers and special projects
- Manage deadlines across engagements and help improve how the work gets done
- Work across client engagements alongside an Accounting Manager or Controller
- Own technical delivery for accurate books, dependable closes, and clear project reporting
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with government-contract exposure
- Hands-on knowledge of GAAP, FAR, DCAA, and CAS, including cost allowability and indirect cost allocation
- Experience with Unanet, QuickBooks, Deltek Costpoint, or a comparable accounting system
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent related experience
- U.S. citizenship, as required by client contracts
- Prior success delivering accounting services in a consulting environment is strongly preferred
- Unanet plus QuickBooks is especially valuable
- CPA preferred, not required
