Job Description
Senior Architect responsible for IAM technology and governance at F5. Driving identity solutions aligned with organizational goals in a hybrid and multi-cloud context.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a multi-year IAM technology roadmap aligned with organizational goals and future business needs.
- Establish frameworks for operationalizing IAM in hybrid and multi-cloud scenarios.
- Champion the implementation of Zero Trust principles, ensuring "never trust, always verify" policies across workforce and customer identities.
- Recommend strategies to integrate IAM with enterprise security functions (e.g., SIEM, UEBA, and SOC workflows).
- Design architecture for secure API authentication protocols like OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and RESTful services.
- Navigate challenges associated with linking on-premises IAM solutions with cloud-based IAM frameworks.
- Develop architecture to ensure unified user identity and smooth transitions to hybrid or cloud-first models.
- Evaluate and select IAM solutions, managing vendor relationships and ensuring alignment with organizational requirements.
- Architect solutions for Privileged Access Management to secure and monitor high-level access roles and credentials.
- Create IAM-specific disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Ensure IAM systems comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOX).
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, including architecture or senior technical roles.
- Hands-on experience designing and integrating enterprise IAM platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Ping, or similar.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, federation, and modern identity protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
- Experience defining architecture standards, reference designs, and governance models.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
