Job Description

Senior BI Analyst developing enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reports for a fast-growing IT company. Leading BI standards, mentoring team members, and delivering analytical solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports for Group-wide and functional reporting.
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear analytical solutions and visual narratives.
  • Work closely with the Data Engineering team to consume, validate and optimise data from Microsoft Fabric.
  • Own Power BI data models, DAX calculations, semantic layers and performance optimisation.
  • Establish and enforce BI standards, best practices and governance across reporting outputs.
  • Migrate and redevelop existing excel and Tableau reporting in PBI.
  • Line manage, mentor and upskill two BI/Data Analysts, supporting both technical and analytical development.
  • Act as a trusted analytics partner to senior stakeholders, providing insight, challenge and recommendations.
  • Support and promote self-service analytics while maintaining data quality and consistency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Senior BI Analyst, Senior Analyst, or similar role.
  • Expert-level Power BI skills , including:
  • Data modelling
  • Advanced DAX
  • Report performance optimisation
  • UX-focused dashboard design
  • Strong data analysis and storytelling skills, with the ability to derive insight from complex datasets.
  • Experience working with centralised data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric , Azure, or equivalent.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience managing, mentoring or coaching analysts .
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data structures.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience working within a central data or BI function.
  • Knowledge of Fabric , Lakehouse architectures, or modern cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance, metrics standardisation and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience enabling and supporting self-service BI.
  • Exposure to Agile or product-led delivery models.
