Job Description
Senior BI Analyst developing enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and reports for a fast-growing IT company. Leading BI standards, mentoring team members, and delivering analytical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports for Group-wide and functional reporting.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear analytical solutions and visual narratives.
- Work closely with the Data Engineering team to consume, validate and optimise data from Microsoft Fabric.
- Own Power BI data models, DAX calculations, semantic layers and performance optimisation.
- Establish and enforce BI standards, best practices and governance across reporting outputs.
- Migrate and redevelop existing excel and Tableau reporting in PBI.
- Line manage, mentor and upskill two BI/Data Analysts, supporting both technical and analytical development.
- Act as a trusted analytics partner to senior stakeholders, providing insight, challenge and recommendations.
- Support and promote self-service analytics while maintaining data quality and consistency
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Senior BI Analyst, Senior Analyst, or similar role.
- Expert-level Power BI skills , including:
- Data modelling
- Advanced DAX
- Report performance optimisation
- UX-focused dashboard design
- Strong data analysis and storytelling skills, with the ability to derive insight from complex datasets.
- Experience working with centralised data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric , Azure, or equivalent.
- Confident stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrable experience managing, mentoring or coaching analysts .
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data structures.
- Desirable:
- Experience working within a central data or BI function.
- Knowledge of Fabric , Lakehouse architectures, or modern cloud data platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance, metrics standardisation and reporting frameworks.
- Experience enabling and supporting self-service BI.
- Exposure to Agile or product-led delivery models.
