Job Description
Project Financing attorney building commercial legal operations for Glydways, which develops carbon-neutral autonomous transit systems. Structuring infrastructure projects, procurement, financing, and regulatory agreements.
Responsibilities:
- Build the legal portion of the Commercial (Projects & Supply Chain) business, including preferred structures, strategies, and form agreements
- Own the structuring, financing, and delivery of commercial projects, including SPV documents, loan agreements, security packages, IP licensing agreements, and EPC agreements
- Own the legal portion of global procurement, including master services agreements, purchase orders, and warehousing agreements
- Partner with the sales team to win new projects, including drafting responses to RFPs
- Partner with regulatory teams to maintain compliance with applicable laws
- Manage outside counsel as necessary
Requirements:
- 6+ years of Biglaw and/or in-house legal experience
- Deep expertise in project financing and implementation of complex infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with commercial procurement for complex infrastructure projects
- Desire to independently drive the building of the commercial division of the Legal department
- Willingness to directly handle substantive legal work to limit outside counsel fees
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law and in good standing in the United States
