Job Description
Senior Employment Counsel advising RingCentral’s AI-powered business communications company on employment law, investigations, litigation, and compliance. Supporting HR and leaders in a contractor role.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on domestic and international employment and labor law matters, including recruiting, employee relations, performance management, accommodations, wage and hour, investigations, and terminations
- Draft, review, and update employment-related agreements, policies, and templates
- Manage and advise on internal investigations, employment-related claims, demand letters, audits, and administrative complaints
- Partner with HR and business leaders to evaluate and implement employment practices, policies, and processes
- Manage employment litigation matters with internal and external counsel
- Support global employment and immigration initiatives
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Active membership in good standing with at least one US state bar; Colorado or California preferred
- 3+ years of experience practicing U.S. employment law at a nationally recognized law firm and/or in-house
- In-house experience strongly preferred
- Broad-based employment law expertise across employee relations, compliance, and investigations
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance for business stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
