Job Description
Associate advocate resolving complex workplace issues for OhioHealth healthcare associates. Analyzing cases, escalating HR matters, and identifying training improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an advocate for associates navigating and resolving complex workplace issues
- Address unresolved conflicts with managers or co-workers
- Assist associates with internal job searches and placements
- Help associates obtain resources or information needed to perform their jobs effectively
- Connect compassionately with associates and articulate issues
- Independently advocate on associates’ behalf through resolution
- Formulate strategic and tactical solutions
- Identify potential legal issues and refer matters to the Advice and Counsel Center for investigation
- Evaluate, partner, and escalate matters to HR centers of expertise as appropriate
- Analyze case trends and data to identify training and continuous improvement opportunities
- Perform other duties requested by the supervisor
- Maintain focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of a High Reliability Organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Field of study in Human Resources or a related field
- At least three years of HR or related experience required
- 3–5 years of HR experience, customer service experience, or related experience
- Ability to recognize and advocate in areas related to human resources and/or associate relations
- Ability to compassionately connect with associates and understand and articulate issues
- Independent decision-making authority
- Ability to identify potential legal issues requiring referral to the Advice and Counsel Center
- Ability to evaluate, partner, and escalate matters to HR centers of expertise
- Ability to analyze case trends and data
- Ability to work day shift
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
