Job Description
Senior Finance Analyst delivering cost, profitability and inventory analysis for Sysco’s food distribution business. Supporting strategic decisions, margin improvement and operational efficiency across European finance.
Responsibilities:
- Join Sysco’s European Finance Team as a Senior Finance Analyst on a 6–12 month fixed-term contract
- Report to the CFO, Europe, while primarily supporting the Finance Director Supply Chain and Operations and Finance Director Commercial and Merchandising
- Drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making across the business
- Partner with Supply Chain, Operational, Commercial and Merchandising teams
- Deliver analysis on costs, profitability, inventory optimisation and business growth drivers
- Lead development of standardised financial metrics
- Track benefits realised from strategic investments
- Provide reporting and analytics supporting growth, margin improvement and operational efficiency
- Transform complex data into meaningful business insight
- Present insights to senior leaders and influence behaviours, actions and strategic outcomes
Requirements:
- Ideally, a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong academic background
- Experience gained within commercial finance, financial analysis or business partnering roles
- Proven ability to interrogate large and complex datasets
- Ability to identify trends, opportunities and risks
- Ability to translate findings into clear recommendations that drive business performance and influence decision-making
- Strong technical expertise
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable conducting detailed financial analysis
- Comfortable presenting insights to senior leaders
- Ability to constructively challenge thinking
- Strong commercial acumen
