Job Description

Senior Financial Analyst managing revenue recognition and contract compliance processes in the energy industry. Collaborating with internal teams and providing insights for optimizing revenue strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage revenue recognition, analyzing contract terms, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards
  • Support the overall revenue cycle
  • Collaborate with internal teams including legal, finance, sales, and operations to ensure contract terms are accurately reflected in revenue recognition processes
  • Provide analytical insights that drive critical decisions to optimize revenue and contract management strategies
  • Review and analyze contracts to determine revenue impacts and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Oversee the lifecycle of contract revenue from inception to renewal or termination
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting
  • Provide data-driven insights related to contract performance and revenue trends
  • Continuously evaluate and improve revenue and contract management processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models to support forecasting and budgeting

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting
  • Strong technical skills with databases and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL)
  • Experience working with ERP and/or CRM systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple priorities independently.
