Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst managing revenue recognition and contract compliance processes in the energy industry. Collaborating with internal teams and providing insights for optimizing revenue strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage revenue recognition, analyzing contract terms, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards
- Support the overall revenue cycle
- Collaborate with internal teams including legal, finance, sales, and operations to ensure contract terms are accurately reflected in revenue recognition processes
- Provide analytical insights that drive critical decisions to optimize revenue and contract management strategies
- Review and analyze contracts to determine revenue impacts and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Oversee the lifecycle of contract revenue from inception to renewal or termination
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting
- Provide data-driven insights related to contract performance and revenue trends
- Continuously evaluate and improve revenue and contract management processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Develop, maintain, and analyze financial models to support forecasting and budgeting
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting
- Strong technical skills with databases and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL)
- Experience working with ERP and/or CRM systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or SAP
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can manage multiple priorities independently.
