Job Description

Workday Financials Principal Consultant leading Workday Financials deployments for higher education institutions. Mentoring colleagues and contributing to best practices in a remote environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Record to Report Workday Financials pillar and associated specialties: Financial Accounting, FDM, and Budgets
  • On deployments: gather customer business requirements, design and configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist in testing the Workday solution, and complete knowledge transfer to customers
  • Develop compelling tenant solutions that demonstrate the value of Workday's Financials product suite with the ability to speak cross-functionally to Workday HCM and Workday Payroll
  • Provide end-to-end solution and design details during the sales process
  • Support the proposal process, which may include providing quality assurance for respective service areas through delivery of the project
  • Accurately estimate effort and resources required to complete projects
  • Promote best practice knowledge sharing across practices
  • Stay up to date with current and projected industry trends
  • Mentor and guide junior colleagues
  • Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications

Requirements:

  • Workday Financial Certification
  • Workday Financials subject matter expert in Record to Report: Financial Accounting, FDM, and/or Budgets
  • Significant end-to-end Workday Financials implementation experience, and the ability to recognize and problem-solve for downstream impacts within Workday HCM and Workday Payroll
  • Strong preference for active Workday Financials partner certifications. Will consider recertifying an individual that meets most other qualifications
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and analyze areas of risk and develop plans to minimize
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong storytelling capabilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%
