Job Description
Senior Full-Stack Developer building scalable AI-enabled healthcare software for CVS Health. Owning architecture, critical-path coding, technical direction, and engineering mentorship.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the hands-on technical anchor for the engineering team
- Own architecture and critical-path development directly
- Design, build, and review code
- Set technical direction and mentor engineers across the team
- Partner with product, architecture, and business stakeholders
- Translate business goals into a technical roadmap and execution plan
- Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and operational reliability
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in large-scale software development
- Experience developing applications, web services, and cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, REST APIs, JPA, messaging, and related technologies
- 5+ years designing and developing highly scalable microservices, web services, and REST APIs
- 5+ years of experience in Agile development environments
- 3+ years developing production-grade Python applications and services, including FastAPI/Flask API development and AI/ML framework integration
- 3+ years of experience with distributed messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or AWS SQS/SNS
- 2+ years in a technical lead role
- 2+ years designing event-driven architectures and asynchronous integration patterns
- 2+ years building and maintaining Python-based data pipelines, automation scripts, or AI-agent workflows
- 2+ years deploying and operating services on a cloud platform; GCP preferred, including GKE/Cloud Run, Cloud Build, IAM, and logging/monitoring
- 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Argo
- 2+ years of experience with source management tools such as GitHub or GitLab
- 2+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives while mentoring other engineers
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; alternatively, high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience
