Job Description
Senior Engineer owning Python product features end to end at CybSafe, an AI behavioral security platform. Shaping customer solutions, simplifying architecture, and mentoring autonomous engineering squads.
Responsibilities:
- Own product features and medium to large customer problems end to end, from shaping the problem through production
- Ship solutions that deliver customer value and make pragmatic trade-offs
- Ask insightful questions about customers, product value, and market fit to inform product and engineering decisions
- Use AI tools across the development lifecycle with considered judgment
- Keep code and architecture simple; identify and correct unnecessary complexity and sloppy abstractions
- Work closely with product, engineering, design, and science colleagues in a small autonomous squad
- Review code generously, mentor engineers, and leave things better than found
- Participate in regular hackdays and team learning
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; or equivalent experience in software development
- Strong experience in Python or similar modern programming language
- Experience with relational databases
- Proactive and self-driven
- Curious, and you back your assumptions with data
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent using AI tools in the SDLC
- Commitment to self growth & care
- Experience mentoring/coaching other engineers
- Must be based in and have unrestricted right to work in the UK
- Bonus: Strong experience in Python, Django, and Django REST framework
- Bonus: Frontend experience with TypeScript and React
- Bonus: Strong understanding of software engineering principles, distributed system design, and taking software to production
- Bonus: Experience developing and maintaining fast, scalable and well-documented APIs
