Job Description
Full Stack Engineer building RepairPal's automotive platform for fair pricing and trusted mechanic connections. Developing React interfaces, backend APIs, and AI/ML infrastructure within Yelp.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of customer-facing, SEO-optimized, high-performance pages
- Set technical direction and standards for the team
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Support desktop and mobile experiences using responsive design
- Architect, implement, and improve backend services and APIs
- Address scalability and reliability concerns
- Integrate frontend components with backend systems and third-party APIs
- Provide infrastructure and APIs supporting AI/ML features
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries
- Contribute to data modeling and database performance tuning
- Identify and resolve critical technical issues
- Contribute to architectural discussions and mentor team members
Requirements:
- Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript frontend development
- Next.js experience preferred
- Solid backend development skills
- Deep proficiency in a server-side framework, preferably Ruby on Rails, or Django, Laravel, or Express
- Experience collaborating with backend/service teams
- Experience integrating with existing APIs
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with non-technical stakeholders
- Completion of a final-panel coding exercise using React and Flask in a code repository platform
