Job Description
Senior Fullstack Engineer architecting scalable Elixir and React systems for DICE’s live-entertainment ticketing platform. Driving fan engagement through growth-focused product development.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop complex, high-load backend systems written in Elixir
- Lead technical discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers
- Turn vague requirements into robust technical specifications
- Mentor mid-level and junior engineers
- Conduct code reviews and foster technical excellence
- Champion best practices in testing, documentation, and maintainability
- Contribute to architectural decisions and scalable platform development
- Build and improve products that drive fan engagement through CRM, SEO, affiliates, and paid marketing channels
Requirements:
- Extensive production experience with Elixir, OTP, and Phoenix, or deep expertise in another functional language with willingness to master Elixir quickly
- Proven experience with React and modern JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Strong track record designing and developing distributed systems at scale
- Experience integrating complex third-party services and handling failure scenarios
- Experience with CDN and edge caching
- Deep understanding of PostgreSQL and Redis database internals and query performance optimisation
- Understanding of accessibility and SEO
- Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions
- Technical leadership, ownership, communication, and collaboration
- Experience with MarTech platforms such as Braze or Iterable is desirable
