Job Description
Python Software Engineer building scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for Ubiminds’ North American software clients. Optimizing databases and CI/CD workflows remotely from Latin America.
Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and scale backend services and data pipelines for North American teams
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Python frameworks
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code focused on reliability and performance
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and asynchronous background tasks
- Optimize relational and non-relational database queries
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment pipelines
- Complete the recruiter interview, possible AI assessment, and client interview process
- Complete onboarding with full Ubiminds support
Requirements:
- 2–4+ years of professional software development experience using Python
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask
- Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, RESTful APIs, and unit/integration testing
- Strong problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills
- Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a nice-to-have
- Exposure to asynchronous programming such as asyncio or message brokers such as Celery, RabbitMQ, or Kafka is a nice-to-have
