Job Description
Senior Medical Affairs Scientist specializing in medical affairs within ATTR-CM at Pfizer. Focusing on external relationships and scientific expertise for Tafamidis with clinical experts.
Responsibilities:
- Senior Medical Affairs Scientists (Field) are experienced medical-scientific experts in the indication area of ATTR-CM (transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy) and with the drug tafamidis.
- They provide external stakeholders and networks with the available medical-scientific knowledge.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining medical-scientific relationships with clinical and scientific experts in cardiology.
- They also support relevant network structures and medical-scientific projects.
- Senior Medical Affairs Scientists (Field) initiate and lead internal projects, contribute their medical-scientific expertise and specific experience, and support colleagues and other Medical Affairs Scientists in the ATTR-CM indication and in relation to tafamidis across functional boundaries.
Requirements:
- Degree in human medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy or life sciences (expertise in accordance with §75 of the German Medicines Act), ideally with a doctorate.
- Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage, plus clinical/scientific experience in the indication area.
- Deep medical-pharmaceutical expertise (including scientific methodology and interpretation of clinical trials, ideally in cardiology).
- Possesses specific knowledge of the healthcare environment (regulatory authorities, physicians, pharmacy), as well as of products and the market in the indication area.
- Experience in project management, digital communication tools and networking.
- Excellent work organization (self-management, administration and reporting).
- Strong team spirit and ability to work independently, as well as willingness to take on responsibility within teams or for projects.
- Fluent German (at least C1) and very good English.
