Job Description

Senior Clinical Pharmacist at Humana monitoring drug development and supporting internal stakeholders. Developing strategies for utilization management and providing clinical expertise across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors drug development pipeline and medical literature
  • Provides clinical support for internal stakeholders
  • Develops and operationalizes strategies related to utilization management edits and clinical coverage policies
  • Influences department’s strategy
  • Participates in Humana’s formulary and Pharmacy and Therapeutics processes
  • Conducts analysis on drug utilization trends
  • Makes decisions on moderately complex issues regarding technical approach for project components

Requirements:

  • Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Must have an active Pharmacist license with the Board of Pharmacy in the appropriate state
  • Clinical experience in managed care or other pharmacy related field
  • BPS Board Certification (any BPS certification; BCOP Preferred)
  • Pharmacoeconomics and Health Outcomes training
  • Pharmacy practice residency or similar pharmacy practice experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare as it relates to pharmacy
  • Six Sigma and/or Project Management Professional certification
