Job Description
Open-Source Software (OSS) Analyst in Hitachi Energy’s OSS Security team overseeing OSS approvals and compliance. Engaging with developers, management, and legal in a global capacity.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver code assessment and analysis to determine compliance with OSS licenses.
- Support legal and product teams in their mitigation efforts.
- Enhance the toolchain to increase automation.
- Act as a consultant in OSS-related matters for Hitachi Energy teams world-wide.
- Keep current with the state of the art of open source and technology trends.
Requirements:
- Should have bachelor’s or master’s degree. (with a background in software engineering preferred)
- Must have 5+ years of experience.
- IT skills (as minimum: use of Windows CLI, understand server logs; desired: Python programming)
- Strong cultural awareness, interest in working with different cultures.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
