Job Description
Senior Platform Engineer at Greenbox Capital modernizing origination ecosystem by building scalable platform services. Driving platform transformation, API development, and system integration for business growth.
Responsibilities:
- At Greenbox Capital, we help small businesses thrive by giving them fast, accessible funding.
- You'll play a key role in modernizing our origination ecosystem by building scalable, high-performance platform services that power critical business workflows.
- You'll drive results in platform transformation, API development, and system integration, and your work will directly support our growth, operational efficiency, and ability to innovate.
- Deliver scalable services and components that successfully replace legacy platform functionality.
- Design and implement secure, maintainable APIs and integrations that support internal systems and third-party platforms.
- Partner effectively with engineering, data, and product teams while influencing architecture, standards, and delivery practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 5+ years building scalable backend services and APIs using Python
- Proven experience contributing to or leading platform modernization or migration initiatives
- Experience working in cloud-native environments (preferably Azure)
- Experience designing and operating production-grade REST APIs
- Background in regulated industries such as FinTech, Banking, or Healthcare is a plus
