Job Description
Senior Product Designer shaping Grafana Cloud’s Knowledge Graph for observability customers. Designing clear, data-dense experiences that help engineers understand systems and resolve incidents faster.
Responsibilities:
- Design experiences for Grafana Cloud’s Knowledge Graph, including the entity graph, entity catalog, and RCA workbench
- Help customers understand and explore how their systems connect
- Present complex, constantly changing information clearly and simply
- Translate research and data into easy-to-digest experiences
- Tailor experiences to multiple target audiences and user perspectives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, technical writing, GTM, and Product Design teams
- Balance business priorities, customer needs, and technical considerations to deliver impact
- Document user needs, pain points, design directions, UX trade-offs, and detailed feature designs
- Conduct research and contribute to quantitative and qualitative research initiatives
- Coach and mentor other designers
- Contribute to Product Design team initiatives and evolving ways of working
Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant design experience working on B2B/enterprise software products
- Experience designing tools and services for developers or other highly technical users is ideal
- Portfolio of effective designs for complex products delivered in a fast-paced environment
- Experience running qualitative research in complex fields
- Ability to balance business goals, product priorities, customer feedback, research insights, and technical considerations
- Ability to collaborate across multiple locations and time zones
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn a complex technical product space
- Experience working in a fully remote, fast-paced environment
- Experience designing complex, data-dense interfaces with a focus on clarity is a bonus
- Domain knowledge or experience related to observability, cloud infrastructure, and/or database monitoring is a bonus
- Example of an experience where a well-curated UI simplifies decision-making in a complex area
