Job Description
Senior Product Manager unifying benefits integrations, payroll accuracy, and compliance at Remote, a global employment platform. Owning infrastructure strategy across carriers, HR systems, EOR, payroll, and PEO.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the roadmap for connections to carriers, third-party administrators, benefits administration platforms, and customers' HR systems
- Shift fragmented benefits tooling toward one administration platform, cost-ingestion pipeline, and consistent experience across Employer of Record, global payroll, and PEO
- Translate strategy into roadmaps aligned with engineering, operations, and leadership
- Lead benefit-cost migrations, retirement plan administration, provider-agnostic cost ingestion, and HR-system-to-payroll integrations through go-live
- Own test planning, end-to-end validation, and go-live readiness
- Activate new countries and partners through requirements, integration, carrier onboarding, and rollout
- Enable sales and implementation on benefits processing and setup using AI tools and code-connected agents
- Ensure consistent cost, eligibility, and enrollment data flow across products and HR systems
- Build proactive compliance monitoring and reduce manual reconciliation
- Lead root-cause analysis, remediation, and durable fixes for benefit-cost data incidents
- Champion discrepancy reporting, unmapped-cost alerts, and reconciliation infrastructure
- Manage the full lifecycle of benefits partners, including sourcing, evaluation, integration, monitoring, and offboarding
- Partner with Partnerships on commercial terms and represent Product as technical subject-matter expert
- Evangelize roadmap and process changes across Product, Engineering, Payroll Operations, Finance, and Partnerships
- Report to the Director of Product, Payroll
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a product manager owning complex third-party integrations (API and file/EDI-based)
- Provider-agnostic mindset, including experience with brokers, carriers, or HRIS systems
- Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code is required
- Ability to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code/prototypes
- Ability to design for APIs and agent-facing tooling
- Ability to make strategic and tactical product decisions under deadline pressure
- Excellent asynchronous written communication
- Bonus: experience negotiating or managing commercial partnerships
- Bonus: experience in benefits, HR technology, payroll, insurance technology, or fintech
- Nice to have: strong technical fluency with data-mapping specifications, sync and reconciliation logic, idempotency, settlement thresholds, or migration sequencing
