Job Description
Senior Product Manager building Acorns’ Community product to increase saving through engagement loops, referrals, and habit formation. Owning strategy, experimentation, and growth metrics for a financial wellness app serving millions of investors.
Responsibilities:
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for Acorns’ Community surface
- Identify, prioritize, and ship engagement and growth mechanics
- Drive organic acquisition at scale through engagement loops, virality, and habit formation
- Set product direction and define product bets
- Own and report on metrics including DAU, sharing behavior, referral rates, retention, and habit formation
- Build an experimentation practice by defining hypotheses, instrumenting tests, analyzing results, and scaling successful approaches
- Turn user insights, competitive signals, and data into a prioritized backlog
- Communicate with partnering teams and connect the Community team with the broader Acorns organization
- Collaborate with a Senior Product Designer and Senior engineering team
- Lead features from early concept through shipped product for millions of users
Requirements:
- Experience owning growth or engagement products at a social, gaming, or high-growth consumer company
- Demonstrated impact on DAU, retention, or viral coefficients
- Practitioner-level experience with k-factor, referral loops, engagement mechanics, or social graph features
- Experience running A/B experiments end-to-end
- Ability to define hypotheses, instrument tests, interpret results, and make decisions
- Ability to write SQL to retrieve data independently
- Experience shipping products or features from ambiguous brief to live market
- Experience working effectively on small teams with limited resources
- Experience making and defending non-obvious product bets to leadership
