Job Description

Senior Product Manager guiding rare disease genetic testing portfolios at Baylor Genetics. Developing roadmaps, business cases, lifecycle improvements, and commercialization plans across clinical and commercial teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clear product roadmap as the single source of truth for rare disease product direction, execution priorities, and cross-functional alignment
  • Incorporate customer, provider, commercial, competitive, market access, technology, clinical, and regulatory inputs to identify opportunities, unmet needs, and portfolio gaps
  • Partner with Sales, Market Access, R&D, Operations, Technology, Medical Affairs, Finance, Legal, Quality, and Client Services to align priorities, resourcing, and stakeholder expectations
  • Develop data-supported business cases and ROI justifications covering strategic fit, business impact, feasibility, revenue, profitability, market share, competitive advantage, technical complexity, operational readiness, regulatory considerations, and resources
  • Own Market Requirements Documents and define target segments, value propositions, use cases, features, workflows, user experience requirements, pricing inputs, and success metrics
  • Monitor on-market product performance, identify risks and underperformance, and drive corrective action plans
  • Manage enhancements, iterations, releases, and lifecycle improvements for existing products
  • Support go-to-market readiness through launch planning, training, materials, workflows, messaging, sales enablement, and commercial execution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, genetics, bioinformatics, healthcare, business, or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in product management in diagnostics, genomics, or a related field
  • Experience with lifecycle management of on-market products and commercial product launches
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams or initiatives in a clinical, healthcare, laboratory, or regulated environment
  • Ability to translate clinical, market, customer, and partner insights into product requirements, prioritized execution plans, and measurable business outcomes
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Strong understanding of genetic testing, genomic technologies, clinical workflows, data and analytics concepts, and regulated product development processes
  • Experience with whole exome or whole genome sequencing or related technologies preferred
  • Experience with geneticists/genetic counselors, neurologists, and/or developmental pediatricians preferred
