Job Description
Senior Python Developer building private-cloud infrastructure for Software Mind’s global clients. Designing backend applications, migrating workloads, and supporting production platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Build a private cloud solution for a government institution in a Western European country
- Support migration and long-term maintenance of the solution
- Design, develop, test, and deploy new backend applications
- Test and improve existing backend infrastructure applications
- Meet with architects, functional designers, and other specialists on system and application design
- Migrate workloads into the new environment
- Support the platform in production
- Contribute to engagement planning, scope estimation, pre-sales technical documentation, and client-requested improvement proposals
- Progress toward owning technical decisions, setting solution direction, mentoring engineers, and participating in future-planning discussions
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience with Python
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and the software delivery lifecycle, including GitLab
- Experience with Robot Framework and Pytest
- Experience with containers
- Experience with Linux system administration
- Infrastructure knowledge covering firewalls, reverse proxies, forward proxies, and IPv4/IPv6 networking
- Consulting mindset: understand business goals before selecting solutions, challenge clients with supporting arguments, and work independently with underdefined scope
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships and trust during day-to-day work
