Job Description
Senior Recruiter managing high-volume recruitment for transport infrastructure roles at Amey. Supporting diverse contracts across highways, rail, and infrastructure as a strategic partner.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment across a wide range of roles, from vacancy briefing through to offer management.
- Deliver high‑volume recruitment for frontline and operational roles while also supporting technical and specialist hiring.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard‑to‑fill roles, ensuring we are proactive rather than reactive in our approach.
- Plan and run recruitment campaigns, including attraction activity, job advertising, sourcing, and attendance at recruitment fairs and events.
- Work closely with hiring managers and senior stakeholders to understand their workforce needs, challenge where appropriate, and agree realistic hiring plans.
- Use recruitment data (time‑to‑hire, vacancy volumes, pipeline health, diversity insights) to prioritise activity and improve recruitment outcomes.
- Reduce reliance on agencies by strengthening direct sourcing, referrals and pipeline activity where possible.
- Keep up to date with labour market trends across highways, rail and infrastructure to inform recruitment planning.
Requirements:
- Experience delivering high‑volume recruitment.
- Ability to take a strategic approach to hard‑to‑fill roles, including direct sourcing and headhunting.
- Confident building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage priorities and stay organised during busy periods.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience in recruitment market trends across highways, rail and infrastructure.
