Job Description
Senior software developer building Autodesk’s React, React Native, and Python platform for construction field operations. Delivering resilient software for active job sites with limited connectivity.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain full-stack features across a React web application, React Native iOS and Android apps, and Python/Django backend
- Design and implement well-documented, well-tested REST APIs for intermittent connectivity conditions
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical plans
- Write clean, maintainable code with strong test coverage
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions
- Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing
- Participate in on-call rotations and own production issues
- Improve development workflows, tooling, and processes
- Contribute to documentation, quality, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python with experience building backend services and APIs
- Experience with Django or a similar Python web framework
- Experience building web applications with React
- Experience building mobile applications with React Native for iOS and Android
- Comfortable working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
- Clear communication and ability to give and receive feedback
- Experience building offline-first or connectivity-resilient mobile applications
- Experience with Django REST Framework
- Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience with feature flagging systems and incremental rollout strategies
- Experience using AI agents to accelerate development workflows
- Background in construction, workforce management, or field operations software
- Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects
