Job Description
Senior Systems Analyst supporting Infor FSM CloudSuite, integrations, reporting, and system enhancements. United Rentals operates the world’s largest equipment-rental network.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requirements and design, develop, and test IT system enhancements focused on Infor FSM Cloudsuite tools
- Solicit, assess, and prioritize user requests for system enhancements
- Write business and technical requirements and discuss desired changes with business units
- Architect sustainable and scalable solutions for design, development, and implementation
- Oversee development and implementation of enhancements using internal and third-party resources
- Serve as technical point of contact for users across simple and complex topics
- Analyze user errors and issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide responses or resolutions
- Work with external vendors to support integration builds
- Build, modify, and support integrations
- Review programmer specifications and strategize solutions aligned with requirements
- Test application functionality and support user acceptance testing
- Conduct performance testing and address effects of system development
- Provide ongoing integration support
- Implement reporting tools and analytics to support site governance and business owners
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including support knowledge bases, data sources, data flows, application logic, logs, architecture, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans
- Research industry trends and best practices to support project goals
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Science, or Business
- 3+ years’ experience with Infor OS application and data tools
- Experience with IPA (Infor Process Automation), Infor ION, LPL (Landmark Pattern Language), and Infor OS Data Fabric
- Ability to interact with and influence IT and business stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Analytically oriented SQL programming skills
- Experience with application programming frameworks, including APIs, JSON, and XML
- Experience with database systems, including SQL Server and DB2
