Job Description

AI/ML Senior Technical Director prioritizing cross-business AI initiatives for GE Electrification. Driving strategic roadmaps, risk management, and GenAI implementation with global teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize, fund, and drive AI/ML initiatives spanning multiple business lines
  • Collaborate with BL Product Management and Functional Owners to align strategic direction and ensure feasibility across business lines
  • Co-build cross-business-line use cases with Functional Owners, Electrification DT, and HQ GenAI team
  • Manage functional use case projects across business lines
  • Liaise with the GEV AIML foundry team
  • Follow up on rapidly evolving technology and engage with partners such as Google and Amazon
  • Manage IT risks, including cybersecurity and platform risks, for external products
  • Support the definition of strategic roadmaps for the GEV Electrification business
  • Manage risks and dependencies between organizations
  • Define and implement processes for coordination between organizations

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the computer science domains, including software development project management, risk management, and strategy
  • Established leadership credentials
  • Ability to influence a highly matrixed organization with varying levels of experience, competence and buy-in
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate geographically and culturally diverse teams
  • Ability to combine strategic capability with a commitment to delivery and be hands-on where required
  • Experience in Agile project management, Lean, and Innovation methodologies (e.g. Design Thinking)
  • Program Management capabilities for complex multi-business projects
  • Financial dexterity to manage business cases and support Product Management and Marketing in business cases definition
  • Collaborative team player able to work across businesses and geographies
