Job Description

Sr. UX/UI Designer at Medtronic working on innovative cardiac ablation technologies. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop a clear product design vision, anchored to our overall product marketing strategy
  • Ensure there is a constant and holistic focus on the customer experience and work to ensure you deliver the highest standards of design and experiences across all customer touch points
  • Help evolve the product design organization to meet our needs now and in the future
  • Lead on this journey to maturity, ensuring the team and stakeholders are connected, inspired and fully engaged in this journey
  • Continually develop a deep understanding of the full eco-system of our customers (patients, clinicians, payor) and how product design can create the most value at an overall experience level
  • Work in strong collaboration and active partnership with the software development team, ensuring you prioritize product design tasks to where there is the highest contribution and value against our strategy and roadmap
  • Have a passion for building a culture of design quality, instilling a shared responsibility across the broader team to achieve design excellence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Degree concentration in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Interactive Design or related field
  • Expert-level knowledge of Figma and Jira
  • Experience collaborating with a hardware team on the development of a combined software/hardware product
  • Experience with medical device design and knowledge of FDA and IEC design guidelines
  • Demonstrable experience in crafting innovative solutions using techniques such as design thinking, human centered design, service design, UX/UI design, systems thinking, analytical thinking, and storytelling
  • Proven ability to deliver value in a complex and changing environment.
  • Able to influence and build strong credibility with diverse and challenging stakeholder group
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly reliable to meet tight project deadlines while juggling many competing priorities
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
