Job Description

Florida Blue service advocate answering insurance claims and policy questions for members and providers. Resolving issues and supporting customer satisfaction through remote service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service and education to plan members and providers
  • Answer complex questions regarding insurance claims and policies
  • Resolve issues and ensure customers understand products, services and processes
  • Research inquiries and interpret policy provisions to determine effective responses
  • Use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering and troubleshooting
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Perform semi-routine duties under established systems and procedures

Requirements:

  • 0-1 years of relevant experience in a customer support role
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to provide customer service and education to plan members and providers regarding insurance claims and policies
  • Ability to resolve customer issues and interpret policy provisions
  • Ability to use computerized systems for tracking, information gathering and troubleshooting
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm EST during training
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm EST after training
