Job Description
Backend Developer responsible for designing and implementing backend systems for Customer Information Management at Telia. Collaborating with teams to maintain performance and security standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and evolve customer information management and data aggregation capabilities using data from internal systems and external registries
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services using Java Spring, with event-driven integrations leveraging Kafka
- Define and implement microservices architecture and API integration strategies, aligned with TM Forum specifications
- Lead database design, performance tuning, and optimization using Hibernate and PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Telia’s BSS landscape to align technical solutions with business objectives
- Provide technical guidance, promote best practices, and perform code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Ensure compliance with security, reliability, and operational standards throughout the software development lifecycle
- Coordinate cross-team project activities and perform system maintenance to ensure continuous service reliability
Requirements:
- Proven experience developing enterprise-grade Java applications using Spring Framework and microservices architectures
- Strong hands-on experience with Hibernate, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
- Experience with customer data platforms, master data management, or registry-based data integration is a strong plus
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability in delivering high-impact, production-grade solutions
