Job Description
Software Engineer building Python MCP servers and integrating apps into Mercor’s RL Studio platform. Developing stable, testable applications for frontier AI training projects.
Responsibilities:
- Build and ship apps for Mercor’s RL Studio platform
- Develop MCP servers in Python using FastMCP
- Integrate web or desktop applications into RL Studio
- Work with APIs, Docker, Linux environments, and service configuration
- Implement populate/snapshot hooks for app state management
- Test apps locally and debug build, runtime, and permission issues
- Ensure apps meet platform validation and deployment requirements
- Work on projects focused on training and enhancing AI systems
Requirements:
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with APIs, backend systems, and debugging
- Familiarity with Docker, Linux, and local testing workflows
- Ability to work with configuration files and deployment pipelines
- Problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
- Experience with FastMCP or similar frameworks (nice to have)
- Experience integrating third-party apps or developer tools (nice to have)
- Familiarity with web apps, databases, and containerized environments (nice to have)
- Must be engaged as an independent contractor
- H1-B and STEM OPT candidates are not supported
