Job Description
Software Engineering Manager liderando a infraestrutura de Pix da Stone, fintech brasileira de pagamentos. Gestão de equipe sênior, arquitetura, resiliência, escalabilidade e alta disponibilidade.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the squad responsible for the resilience, scalability, and architectural evolution of the Pix infrastructure within Banking
- Directly lead a senior team in partnership with Engineering Staff/Senior Staff Engineers and Banking Tribe leadership
- Lead and optimize the software delivery flow, ensuring predictability and proactively identifying blockers
- Use engineering metrics to improve delivery efficiency
- Participate in operational incidents by analyzing dashboards, queues, and bottlenecks and guiding the team
- Evaluate pragmatic uses of new technologies and artificial intelligence to accelerate and automate processes
- Increase the squad’s engineering maturity through test coverage, automation, CI/CD, and code reviews
- Develop, provide feedback to, and technically mentor mid-level and senior engineers
- Guide complex System Design and architecture decisions
- Assess resilience, latency, and cost impacts with specialists and Staff Engineers
- Help eliminate single points of failure, optimize costs, and ensure high availability of the Pix infrastructure
Requirements:
- Proven previous experience in engineering management/leadership, people management, software delivery, and software processes
- Extensive experience building and evolving highly complex back-end systems and microservices
- Deep knowledge of System Design and architecture
- Knowledge of resilience, high availability, scalability, and service-to-service communication
- Go or a strong foundation in languages focused on concurrency and performance
- Experience with microservices and Kubernetes
- Experience with RabbitMQ or similar asynchronous processing technologies
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB
- Strong technical background to discuss and guide complex System Design and architecture decisions
- Experience in financial services, payments, or Banking is a plus
- Knowledge of Pix messaging and integrations with the Central Bank of Brazil (Bacen) is a plus
