Job Description
Junior Software Quality Analyst focusing on functional validation and manual testing in a collaborative web applications environment. Engaging with APIs, requirements analysis, and test coverage for essential functionalities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop functional test scenarios and test scripts based on handover meetings and requirements discussions with technical leadership.
- Execute manual test cases, including database manipulation to create test data sets and validate data.
- Report and track defects in Azure DevOps, clearly describing steps to reproduce, expected behavior, and actual behavior.
- Perform UI/interface tests, validating functional behavior, usability, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Perform basic REST API tests, validating response status, payloads, and simple business rules.
- Support requirements review and acceptance criteria to ensure adequate test coverage.
- Update and maintain test cases as system functionalities evolve.
- Collaborate with developers and other QA professionals to understand deliverables and validate correct implementations.
Requirements:
- Experience in functional testing of web applications.
- Experience in agile environments.
- Knowledge of basic software testing concepts, such as functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Practical knowledge of web applications, including front-end and back-end.
- Basic understanding of Java, sufficient to understand rules and identify issues.
- Experience with API testing using Postman.
- Knowledge of defect tracking tools, such as Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with version control using Git.
- Familiarity with Cypress.
- Knowledge of SQL databases.
- Experience with corporate systems or complex business rules.
- Introductory courses in software testing.
- CTFL certification.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience with test automation using Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Experience in structuring QA processes from scratch.
- Familiarity with version control using Git.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL databases.
- Certifications such as ISTQB, Agile Tester, or similar.
- Test automation courses.
- API testing courses.
