Job Description
Staff DevOps Engineer responsible for leading and improving cloud infrastructure for VA services. Collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring team members in software engineering best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Staff DevOps Engineer serves as an emerging subject matter expert, while serving as an individual contributor that exhibits a high level of trust, autonomy and empowerment.
- Lead and monitor the ability to meet scope, schedule and delivery requirements.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders and drive improvements in software engineering and DevOps processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's and 8+ years of experience
- Demonstrates expert-level knowledge in multiple infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. terraform, ansible)
- Mastery of key DevOps concepts: installing software, virtualization, containerization, networking, etc.
