Job Description

Strategic Solutions Manager leading customer relationships, parcel analytics, and Solutions Engineers at a technology-enabled parcel logistics advisory firm. Translating shipping data into cost and service improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, owning executive-level relationships and day-to-day delivery
  • Lead parcel network analysis and modeling for network evaluations, carrier contract decisions, and optimization strategies
  • Identify cost and service improvement opportunities and track projected and realized savings with customers
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that turn complex shipping data into actionable insights
  • Present findings and recommendations to analysts, operations managers, senior executives, and C-suite executives
  • Lead recurring and ad hoc customer meetings, establishing priorities, action items, and accountability
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Solutions Engineers by setting objectives and KPIs, providing feedback, and supporting development plans
  • Build scalable financial tools and models for business reviews, planning, and forecasting
  • Develop and automate analytical models and delivery processes to improve scalability, quality, and speed to insight
  • Support business development and pre-sales activities by shaping solutions, business cases, and proposals
  • Liaise between carriers and customers to resolve billing and contract-related issues
  • Ensure reports, models, and deliverables are tested and quality-checked before reaching customers

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of customer-facing account management experience in transportation, parcel, logistics, or supply chain, including experience leading analytical projects
  • Demonstrated success managing executive-level customer relationships and clearly communicating complex findings
  • Strong analytical skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL, with the ability to extract insights from large data sets
  • Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, MIS, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to remain customer-focused and effective in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
  • A strong sense of ownership, demonstrated by meeting deadlines, taking accountability, and treating mistakes as opportunities to learn
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence tools
  • Transportation optimization, carrier pricing, or parcel analytics experience
  • Advanced expertise in financial forecasting and process automation
  • Project management and business development experience
  • Consulting experience, particularly with enterprise or Fortune 500 customers
  • Travel up to 25%
