Job Description

System Administrator managing secure document solutions for US customers. Responsibilities include system installation, configuration, virtualization, and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure and virtualize server hardware
  • Install/configure operating systems, software, network settings
  • Write deployment scripts and manifests to deploy hardware and platforms consistently
  • Develop and implement new solutions based on new customer requirements
  • Pro-actively monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of IT services
  • Tune-up OS and deploy software updates and patches and modify deployment scripts and manifests to ensure configuration complies with security requirements
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Respond to system outages and perform necessary repairs
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
  • Provide technical support and training to users
  • Implement and maintain backup solutions, including RDBMS replication, recovery and system failover
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Ensure network security and manage VPNs
  • Monitor and enforce security policies
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and inventory
  • Work with other CBN and customer IT staff and departments to support various projects and initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and address their IT needs
  • Ensure compliance with CBN and customer IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or related field) or equivalent combination of relevant education and years of work experience
  • 5+ years of system administration experience
  • Fluency in English (speak, read, write)
  • Legally eligible to work in USA
  • Able to work outside of standard business hours as required
  • Able to travel approx. 2-4 weeks/year on average
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Virtualization
  • Basic IT Security principles and protocols (TLS, encryption at rest)
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Knowledge of IT auditing process (asset)
  • Any CISSP, LPIC, ITIL, VCP, MCSE, OCA/OCP 12c certifications are assets, but not required
