Job Description
Tax Staff preparing individual, business, and corporate US tax returns for GR8, a partnership of leading US CPA firms. Supporting compliance research, work papers, and tax operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing US individual tax returns (Form 1040), business tax returns (Form 1065), and corporate tax returns (Forms 1120 and 1120S)
- Prepare templates to document tax-related data after collecting relevant information from senior tax team personnel
- Research current tax legislation across different US states and complex tax issues to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Collect, assimilate, and analyze data using standard processes and tools to complete assigned Tax business projects
- Assist in identifying technical issues in projects and share mitigation suggestions with senior personnel
- Recommend ways to streamline operations and increase client satisfaction
- Prepare tax returns and supporting work papers for various clients according to standard operating procedures
Requirements:
- Graduate Degree
- 1-3 years of functional experience in a relevant role
- Knowledge of Advanced Excel and other tools and platforms
- Knowledge of US taxation principles, procedures and laws
- Knowledge of corporate taxation principles, procedures and laws
- Knowledge of report preparation for management information and control
- Understanding of tax operations of shared service organizations and in-house captive centers, including evolving global and local megatrends and best practices
- Communication and presentation skills
- Learning agility
- Team leadership
- Minimum internet speed of 50-100 Mbps
- Dedicated private, quiet home office workspace
- Power and internet backup is a must
