Job Description

Team Lead managing a team of engineers in electrical power systems servicing industrial clients. This role involves design, project management, and staff development in a full-time remote capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of engineers, drafters, designers, and/or technicians servicing industrial clients
  • Perform detailed design of electrical power systems
  • Prepare computer-based models and perform power system studies
  • Develop protective relay settings
  • Program, install, and test SCADA and PLC systems
  • Prepare project documents and reports including cost estimates
  • Review equipment data and design submittals for conformance
  • Provide field assistance and troubleshooting as required
  • Maintain strong Company-Client relationships
  • Support business development and assist with marketing tasks
  • Mentor and coach team members for professional growth

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of engineering or relevant field experience
  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, electric power option preferred
  • PE preferred
  • Professional, articulate, and able to exercise good independent judgement and discretion
  • Highly organized, motivated self-starter
  • Proven record of delivering a high standard of quality work with attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with limited information to create system designs and plans
  • Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment with a quickly growing team
  • Good interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills; ability to interact successfully at all levels of the organization; high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to develop staff through mentoring and coaching
  • A strong command of the English language
  • A strong written and verbal command of the English language
