Job Description
Project Manager leading Agile software development teams supporting DevSecOps initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Managing full lifecycle of applications and systems while ensuring program alignment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of application and system projects from intake through delivery using SAFe DevSecOps frameworks.
- Lead Agile Scrum teams, ensuring alignment across products, deliverables, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with technical leads to support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure modernization efforts.
- Develop and manage project schedules using Agile project management methodologies and tools.
- Provide regular reporting on project milestones, risks, blockers, and escalation needs.
- Present project plans, roadmaps, and progress updates to VA leadership and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate across teams and stakeholders to manage dependencies, risks, and competing priorities.
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience managing IT projects, including risk identification and mitigation.
- Strong experience leading complex projects in Agile environments (SAFe preferred).
- Proven ability to communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to executive stakeholders.
- Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Additional Qualifications PMP, SAFe, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Experience supporting federal government or VA projects is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps environments and CI/CD processes.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
