Job Description
Test Manager developing end-to-end test strategies and concepts for clients on transformation projects. Driving test automation and collaboration with IT and business teams.
Responsibilities:
- You develop end-to-end test strategies for our clients, for example in the context of transformation projects and migrations
- You design test concepts and are responsible for test planning and test data management
- You create test cases, including documentation and test reporting, and actively contribute hands-on during the testing phase
- You define work packages and coordinate (sub-)projects, overseeing implementation through to business acceptance (sign-off)
- You act as an innovator in the field of test automation and continuously improve our test management tools
- You apply AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day work to boost productivity, improve code quality, and maintain high-quality documentation, contributing to robust and maintainable solutions
- You drive test management and test automation topics at Wavestone and further develop our colleagues and clients, for example through test management training
- You work with IT and business colleagues to develop solutions to specific problems, sometimes leveraging existing solutions and systems
- You build professional relationships with clients, management, and team members to ensure the delivery of proposed solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in test management, with a strong focus on program-level or large-scale project delivery
- Strong expertise in test management methodologies and frameworks (e.g., TPI Next, TMMi) and their practical application
- Experience working with modern test automation tools, such as Tosca, and integrating testing into CI/CD and DevOps environments
- Skilled in coordinating multiple testers and/or test managers across programs or complex projects
- Familiarity with project management frameworks and delivery approaches
- Solid understanding of financial services processes and quality assurance best practices
- Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and managing both conceptual and coordination tasks
- Interest in or initial experience with emerging topics such as quality intelligence tools and AI-driven testing approaches and their application in improving test efficiency and insights
- ISTQB certification is a plus
- Strong customer orientation toward both internal and external stakeholders, with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude
- Strong interest in AI-driven tools and the ability to leverage them in daily work
- Fluent business-level German and a good command of English
- Willingness to travel to client sites occasionally.
