Job Description

Account Manager managing product sales and customer relationships in the San Antonio construction market for ABB. Collaborating across business lines to meet customer needs and drive profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Sells products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
  • Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution.
  • Prepares sales plans using company tools.
  • Performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Collaborate across business lines to help leverage ABB’s entire product portfolio.
  • Prepares offers in accordance with customer contract documents (plans & specs), and in collaboration with proposal department, factory & pricing team.

Requirements:

  • BS Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering or industrial engineering (or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Candidates without a degree but commensurate experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum two years sales experience in electrical industry, preferably in commercial, industrial and multi-family markets.
  • Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Experience with technical presentations, oral communication abilities in person and over the phone, drafting professionally written emails and technical documents is important.
  • Ability to travel throughout the trade area as needed.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
