Job Description
Accounting Manager owning month-end close, technical accounting, and ERP migration for EnergyHub’s virtual power plant platform. Partnering with Alarm.com and internal business teams.
Responsibilities:
- Own EnergyHub's month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Evaluate and redesign the close process, building scalable workflows, documentation, and controls
- Serve as escalation point for complex or judgmental accounting matters, including revenue recognition under ASC 606
- Partner with Alarm.com corporate accounting as EnergyHub's primary close liaison
- Translate corporate accounting requirements for the EnergyHub team
- Partner with operations, customer success, and FP&A to provide accounting guidance and information
- Play a key role in EnergyHub's multi-year ERP migration
- Take on additional projects as business needs evolve
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active CPA license
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and close experience in a public company environment
- Deep, working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and build scalable solutions
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills
- Experience redesigning and implementing a close process and/or building management reporting packages from the ground up (nice-to-have)
- Experience in SaaS, software, energy, or tech (nice-to-have)
- Experience with multi-entity consolidation or a subsidiary/parent company reporting structure (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) (nice-to-have)
- No sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization or other immigration-related support
