Job Description
AI Engineer position at MDS focused on building AI agent systems using Claude and automating workflows. Collaborating with tech leads to enhance existing automation processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design and ship AI agent systems end to end using Claude.
- Build MCP connectors for platforms.
- Use Claude Code in your daily engineering workflow.
- Develop prompts and rubrics with eval sets.
- Audit current automations for AI upgrade opportunities.
- Propose and implement AI upgrades to existing workflows.
- Write production-grade code in Python and TypeScript / JavaScript.
- Set up observability for logging and monitoring.
- Continuously audit MDS workflows for opportunities.
- Partner with the Tech Lead and other specialists.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Python and TypeScript / JavaScript.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with Claude.
- At least one shipped project involving an LLM agent or MCP.
- Modern web development basics.
- API and webhook infrastructure.
- Engineering hygiene: Git, code review, testing, environments, observability.
- Familiarity with our internal tooling: Airtable, Go High Level, ClickUp, Google Workspace, Slack.
- Automation platform fluency (Make, Zapier, or equivalent).
- English (written and verbal) at a level where you can write documentation.
- Proactive and ownership-driven.
