Job Description

Applied AI Sales Executive selling Cloudera-supported Mistral enterprise AI solutions. Owning complex enterprise deals from proof of concept through expansion across Cloudera data estates.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end enterprise deals for Cloudera-supported OEM Mistral, from initial conversation through proof of concept, negotiation, close, and expansion
  • Develop and manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and exceed quarterly and annual goals for new and expansion software subscriptions, renewals, and related services
  • Introduce and grow designated enterprise accounts and strategic prospects aligned with company objectives and customer priorities in data, analytics, and AI
  • Lead large, multi-threaded transactions while retaining commercial control and coordinating specialists
  • Run strategic outbound and convert qualified inbound opportunities into broader, multi-year agreements
  • Use warm introductions, installed-base relationships, and partner paths to reach data, AI, innovation, and C-suite leaders
  • Develop account and opportunity plans mapping the Mistral offering to customer technology footprints, growth plans, and competitive landscapes
  • Lead customers through structured, time-boxed proofs of concept with implementation and technical teams
  • Convert successful proofs of concept into long-term contracts by connecting model performance, deployment model, governance, and support to customer operations on Cloudera
  • Articulate how the OEM Mistral offering fits the Cloudera platform, including data under management, security, and hybrid operations
  • Align customer engineering, product, commercial, and legal stakeholders at executive level
  • Negotiate agreements end-to-end with legal and implementation support
  • Build consensus across executive sponsors, influencers, and decision-makers, positioning the offering within strategic AI and data initiatives
  • Provide field intelligence on use cases, objections, competitive moves, and deployment constraints to shape roadmap priorities and sales plays
  • Introduce domain and technical specialists while retaining overall account responsibility and customer-success ownership

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience
  • Record of exceeding quota on complex, consultative deals
  • Comfortable with senior C-level engagement, discussions, and negotiations
  • Experience selling highly technical products, ideally in data management, data platforms, analytics, or AI infrastructure
  • Familiarity with public cloud, hybrid architectures, and modern infrastructure such as containers and Kubernetes, sufficient to steer technical conversations and identify when to involve specialists
  • Meaningful exposure to the AI ecosystem or adjacent data and infrastructure markets
  • Ability to operate at startup pace while navigating large-enterprise processes
  • Outstanding negotiation, written communication, and executive presence
  • English required
  • Additional languages such as French, German, or Spanish are advantageous in multinational accounts
  • Comfortable operating as the commercial owner within a matrix of account executives, partner sales teams, implementation specialists, solution engineers, product, and legal
