Job Description
Area Sales Manager driving ACO building drainage sales across Texas and Oklahoma territories. Managing distributors, projects, specifications, budgets, trade shows, and manufacturer representatives.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate ACO Building Drainage sales activities within a specific territory or region
- Follow up on leads and identify potential projects
- Support internal and external customers
- Develop repeatable selling strategies and contribute to group goals
- Monitor and direct territory sales performance
- Exceed monthly and yearly sales budgets
- Monitor ACO distributor performance against Distributor Agreements
- Lead weekly review sessions with ISR and CSR as captain of the sales team
- Identify, track, manage, and close major regional projects using Microsoft Dynamics
- Search for new opportunities using Google, CMD, LinkedIn, and other tools
- Prepare and send submittal packages after purchase orders are received
- Establish ACO product specifications through architects, engineers, and design/build firms
- Analyze and communicate customer/client requirements to customer service, building drainage, or technical service departments
- Provide Marketing with photos and project worksheets
- Assist with customer problem resolution
- Participate in regional budget planning
- Attend and set up trade shows
- Train and manage manufacturer's representatives or showroom/wholesale accounts
- Comply with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, science, or another related discipline; or associate degree and related experience; and/or one-year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training
- Minimum of one year of previous inside sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret simple construction drawings, blueprints, and requests for proposals
- Ability to write professional correspondence and speak effectively before customer or employee groups
- Ability to calculate using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, discounts, and margins
- Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, databases, file management, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to create documents and transfer files
- Keyboarding speed of 35 words per minute
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft professional programs
- Proficiency using video conferencing equipment
- Excellent punctuation, grammar, and spelling
- Professional phone manners
- Ability to travel daily and spend most of the day in a vehicle
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend daily
- Valid driver's license and no major driving violations
- Ability to operate a computer for 1–2 hours per day
- Ability to lift products up to 50 lbs. occasionally
