Job Description
Assistant General Counsel advising Jabil’s global manufacturing and supply-chain operations on environmental and regulatory compliance. Providing governance oversight across Europe and worldwide sites.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on environmental compliance and supply chain due diligence laws and regulations
- Oversee corporate disclosure and reporting obligations related to environmental and social compliance matters
- Guide product compliance and environmental regulatory matters affecting Jabil's manufacturing operations, including chemicals, product-content, and waste management requirements
- Support environmental permitting and facility compliance across Jabil's manufacturing sites
- Assess environmental due diligence and liability matters in connection with acquisitions and new operational sites
- Manage incident response and regulatory reporting obligations
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Jabil's regulatory compliance management systems
- Lead legal review and support for compliance audits, customer assessments, and corrective action plans
- Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Legal teams to strengthen compliance across Jabil's global operations and supply chain
- Monitor and interpret emerging regulatory developments and advise business leaders on risk and compliance strategy
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD), LLM, or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution
- Licensed attorney in good standing in an EU member state or the UK
- Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience in environmental law, supply chain compliance, regulatory compliance, or related fields
- Experience supporting multinational organizations and global manufacturing or supply chain operations
- Strong understanding of internationally recognized social compliance and human rights frameworks
- Experience advising on supply chain due diligence or product compliance regulations is preferred
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced global environment
- Ability to work effectively across regions, cultures, and functional teams
- Fluent English required; additional European languages are considered an asset
