Job Description
Associate Counsel Contracts providing legal support for clinical research at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Drafting and negotiating contracts while managing diverse legal portfolio with flexible work arrangements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for clinical research business, drafting and negotiating agreements that enable therapeutic advances
- Serve as the primary legal contact for assigned departments, ensuring the company's interests are protected while facilitating critical business decisions
- Handle diverse portfolio including enterprise service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and complex contracts
- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders
Requirements:
- Legal Degree plus minimum 5 years of experience in legal or contracts experience, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or related industry
- Active law license/qualification in jurisdiction of practice (where applicable)
- Ability to draft and negotiate routine contract provisions autonomously and complex provisions with oversight
- Strong risk analysis and mitigation skills with ability to evaluate legal implications
- Excellent English language proficiency, including written and verbal communication
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders
- Flexibility to adjust workload and priorities based on business needs
- May require 0-20% travel
- Ability to work standard business hours
