Job Description

Senior Legal Counsel providing expert legal counsel on labor and employment matters for Airbus across the US. Leading initiatives and engaging with management for a positive employee relations environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide counsel on a variety of US legal topics, primarily labor and employment matters, to Airbus companies across the US
  • Serve as a project leader and labor relations advisor on a range of corporate special projects upon request
  • Engage with management and HR teams to provide guidance and direction to achieve a positive employee relations environment
  • Manage employment law-related activity for US entities in alignment with the Sr. Legal Counsel for Labor and Employment
  • Support the investigations and activities of the People Matter Network, including the Employee Relations Managers
  • Draft, support the negotiation and legal review of Executive Employment Agreements, Retention Agreements, and Severance Agreements
  • Participate in developing and delivering trainings for executives, management and HR stakeholders

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor law degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
  • Admission to the bar in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, or Oklahoma
  • Current with CLE credits
  • 10 or more years engaged in the practice of law with an emphasis on management-side labor and employment issues
  • Experience with state or federal agencies responsible for enforcement of labor and employment law
  • Experience with labor relations strategy and implementation
  • Proficient in utilizing Google Suite
  • Fluent written and spoken English
