Job Description
Associate Director of Treasury leading global cash management, liquidity, banking, and controls for WES, a nonprofit supporting immigrants, refugees, and international students.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization’s global treasury function across all entities
- Manage daily cash positioning, liquidity management, cash transfers, pooling structures, and capital optimization
- Develop and maintain the global working capital model
- Produce cash balance reporting, weekly working capital analysis, cash flow visibility, and cash optimization
- Own short- and long-term cash forecasting with FP&A, Controllership, Investments, and Finance leadership
- Support operating decisions, investment planning, funding needs, and liquidity strategy
- Oversee global banking operations, bank relationships, account setup and maintenance, banking documentation, authorized signers, user access, bank portals, and global account structures
- Lead, mentor, and develop the treasury function and establish best practices
- Govern treasury controls, payment approvals, fraud prevention, access governance, signatory management, risk assessments, issue tracking, and remediation
- Oversee ACH, wire, international payments, internal transfers, and cash disbursement governance
- Monitor and optimize cash inflows and outflows, including accounts payable disbursements and payroll cash requirements
- Drive banking and treasury-system automation and ERP integration, including bank feeds, host-to-host connections, bank-to-bank integrations, automated reporting, and process improvements
- Report to the Chief Financial Officer
- Partner with FP&A, Controllership, Investments, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Finance leadership, and external financial institutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5–8 years of experience in treasury, cash management, or corporate finance
- Experience managing global treasury operations across multiple entities or geographies
- Proven ability to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional business partners
- Experience leading or managing a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic team environment
- Ability to operate autonomously while being a team player
- Positive attitude and ability to act as a culture champion
- Sage Intacct and/or other cloud-based ERP systems experience preferred
- Vena budgeting software experience preferred
- Systems integration and transformation experience desired
- Strong alignment with WES mission and values and a growth mindset
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred
- Experience in a nonprofit, social enterprise, or mission-driven organization desired
